Welcome to Prototype Professionals! I suppose I am going to make my first blog entry an introduction to our company. Of course, most of this is available on our web pages as well. A little history: We started this small family owned business as a way to help out clients of a company I used to work for. This company sold and serviced 3D Printers, such as the Dimension Elite Machine that we now own and run as part of our business. Customers and clients were always saying something along the lines of "WOW, this machine is GREAT! We cannot afford a machine right now, but we would like to pay to have some parts printed up in 3D." Alas, my previous employer always turned them down stating that they did not want to be in the service side of things, just wanted to sell the machines.

So, seeing a need and a demand for 3D prototype parts, my wife and I decided to invest some of our savings, and take on a business loan and buy a 3D printing machine. There you have it, the business was born. As you can guess, we are a mom and pop shop. Don't let that fool you though, we have the latest 3D Printing Machine, the Dimension Elite. This machine incorporates the latest Fused Deposition Machining (FDM) to build up parts using REAL ABS plastic layer by later. Resolution is down to 0.007 inches. We can also print at a faster 0.010 inches if the higher resolution is not needed.

Our business does not stop there though. We offer design services, advice, and even post processing of the 3D parts that we print and create. We offer sanding and painting, as well as assembly services to help out.
